Adelina Morales

An artist based in Kansas City Missouri

I am a very self motivated artist and I find it very relaxing and therapeutic when I create art;especially if it’s on a small scale that requires intense concentration. It’s a creative outlet for me to just take whatever thought pops up in my head and make it into reality. I always have endless ideas and the end result that I crave to have completed motivates me to keep practicing until I get what I’m looking for.

The art I create is very meaningful to me because I pour out my passions and what I love into my work. Whether it be the people in my life, my love for cooking and baking, or other artists that have touched my life and propelled me to move forward and keep trying new things.

My inspiration for my art come in many forms from people in my life to inspiring artists like SugarCharmShop, Toni Ellison and Heather Wells. Even something as simple as looking up photos in Google will spark an idea. Sometimes I will just be mixing colors of clay or playing around with a tool and that color or texture will inspire me for my next project. The goal of my artwork is to express myself and enjoy what I do while inspiring others to let their imagination be the guide to creating masterpieces no matter how out of the box it may look.

As I continue to practice and try new techniques, overtime I have developed my own style in a sense where my pieces stand out and represent me as an artist. My current art relates to my past art very closely due to the fact that I often re create old pieces to make them better, whether that means more detail, make it smaller or make it more realistic. Every time I recreate a piece I see improvement and that helps me grow as an artist by constantly critiquing my pieces for the better.
